The Fardin MAYA FM is a mechanical rotary weeder available in 1, 2 or 3 row format.
The weeding rotors are hydraulically driven to give good agitation of the soil around the plants ensuring weeds are fully pulled to the surface for the maximum wilting effect.
An operator keeps the rotors in line by manually steering them in and out between the plants, and as such makes the machine ideal for crops grown on a set spacing where typical weeders tend to struggle for coverage.
The electro-hydraulic lift is the prominent element of our weeders which distinguish them in the world, allowing the elements to be altered vertically in relation to the frame, leading to better contour following. Further, the working element is mounted on U-bolts to be able to move it as needed to fit in with variable spacing across different crops, ensuring maximum use of this versatile machine.
Another significant feature of the machine lies in the anti-vibration system, which discharges the vibrations into the running gear, away from the operator, ensuring maximum comfort and more accurate operation throughout the working day.
Power comes from an on-board hydraulic system driven by the tractor’s PTO, and whilst the machine is mounted to the tractor’s rear linkage, it will run freely on it’s own depth wheels when lowered into work.
